Susan has always enjoyed the feelings and experiences music gives her, whether it is playing the violin or singing in a choir. She  remembers back to sixth grade when the high school madrigals group performed at her elementary school and all she could think while they sang was, “That is what I want to do. Sing!” So she went on to Highland High school to sing with the A Capella Choir, Jazz Ensemble and Madrigal Choir with “Mr. C.” aka, Paul Christensen. After graduating from high school, she studied at the University of Utah where she had the great fortune of singing in A Capella Choir under the direction of Ed Thompson and Chamber Choir with Bernell Hales. To continue her musical journey, Susan joined Barlow Bradford and the Utah Chamber Artists in 2001. She feels blessed to have studied under so many talented and influential conductors. Susan graduated summa cum laude from the University of Utah with her BA degree in Biology with an emphasis in Biochemistry. She currently tutors math and lives in the Holladay area with her husband and three daughters.
